Lots: Brush 2x/day with pea sized portion of toothpaste for 2 full minutes by the clock. Use floss/rubber tip/proxi-brushes between teeth every day. Water piks are wonderful. Dental disclosing tablets show bacteria on the teeth. Remember clean braces shine...If braces fuzzy they're covered w parasites. Ask orthodontic specialist for suggestions tailored to your unique specific needs.

Floss, brush observe: Ones oral hygiene decreases because teeth without braces have only chewing surfaces, inside and outside gum/tooth interfaces ; the approximating walls "between the teeth" that need cleaning, teeth with braces have five additional surfaces and the retaining wires that are impossible to clean everything. Just do your best! brush floss and proxabrush daily and they will be "clean" as it gets!
