Observe for a while: If this condition worsens, or doesn't disappear in a couple of months, you better consult an ENT doctor. While you"wait" make sure you gargle and have a good hygiene of your mouth, brush teeth and tongue very well. If starts to hurt or grow, see the specialist right away.

Lesion: The rule of thumb is that ANY lesion of 2 weeks or longer duration must be examined and evaluated. Your lesion is well over the 2 week limit. Spontaneous healing is not to be expected, no matter how much longer you "observe."
