Observe for a while: If this condition worsens, or doesn't disappear in a couple of months, you better consult an ENT doctor. While you"wait" make sure you gargle and have a good hygiene of your mouth, brush teeth and tongue very well. If starts to hurt or grow, see the specialist right away.

Lesion: The rule of thumb is that ANY lesion of 2 weeks or longer duration must be examined and evaluated. Your lesion is well over the 2 week limit. Spontaneous healing is not to be expected, no matter how much longer you "observe." Please see General Dentist, Oral Pathology Specialist, Oral Surgeon, General Physician, Urgent Care, or Ear/Nose/Throat Specialist to begin the diagnostic process.
