A member asked:

Cholestrol tot 143, hdl 37, ldl 94, trigly 58, vldl 11.6, glucose fast 99. non-smoking male, age 37, weight 89 kg. should i be worried for low hdl?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Low HDL: Low HDL is a risk factor for heart disease, independently of ldl. Raising HDL is hard. Normal weight, exercise, quit smoking if you do. The best strategy is to optimize other cardiac preventive factors in your life.
