See a podiatrist...: If it truly is scar tissue, you may be given a prescription for topical verapamil cream to reduce the fibrosis. If it is something else, the doctor will be able to determine that as well. There may be a local nerve entrapment causing this type of pain.

Scar Symptoms: It is not uncommon for an old scar to act like a callus on the bottom of the foot. Calluses can gradually get worse, and cause low grade swelling and pain. It is the low grade swelling that may now be causing the nerve symptoms. Get checked out by a podiatrist, and look at the bottom of your foot for any signs of problems brewing! dr rich blake.
