Started on 75mg & then 150mg of venlafaxine hcl er. got sick and it has been 2 weeks. can i take apart the capsule and go back to ramping up to 150?

Yes: In my practice, I have had several patients open their capsules and take half the dose to start back up. They do this over the sink to catch spillage, and have had excellent results. You can always check with your treating physician.

Yes: But make sure that you put the capsule back together completely after you have emptied out the portion that you're not going to use. Then take the capsule and wash any powder off your hands and make sure that you do not touch your eyes with any of the powder. When done that way it should be safe. Best wishes.
