Si inj 11/26/13 @ symptoms center 2 hr later stabbing pain 3" above inj site has not stopped as of 12/16 er 11/30 root nerve hit? mri done fri, if so what's treatment? i have l6 that is fusing/fused already

Possibly: Nerve injury can occur, and it is one of the known risk in doing any injection, but it is usually limited (several weeks) and will get better. If you use chronic pain medications, you can become hypersensitive and the pain will take longer to subside.

Call your physician: Yes it could be nerve irritation but also infection, bleeding etc. The physician who did the procedure must be notified asap.
