Variable practice: I find the speed at which the prescription is used often depends on the training of the physician. All physicians may be under pressure to "fix" a kid struggling in school. When proper screening and any additional evaluations are completed, medication may be considered a valid tool or not.Anyone prescribing the medications without a valid evaluation process is most likely over medicating.
