What you are really: Asking, i would guess, is how long can it be detected with drug testing. Heroin is metabolized rapidly to morphine and then to inactive metabolites, and it essentially gone within 3-4 hours from blood/brain. However, metabolites can be detected for several days, generally 2-4, and in heavy users up to 5 days out. It can be detected in hair for months, depending on length of hair tested.
