What to do to reduce my mother's stress?

Encourage her: To talk to a mental health professional who treats stress. Just being empathic and emotionally supportive can be a big help, but if she seems stuck or resistant to getting help, explore what she fears about getting help. The sooner she gets help, the easier it is to get over it. If her situation is distressing to you, then you should talk to someone for yourself.

You can share these : tips with her. Talk about feelings & address problems. Don't avoid them. Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk carbs, caffeine & alcohol (or moderate). Try Qi Gong, Tai Chi, acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, meditation, Yoga, exercise program, deep breathing exercises or Progressive muscle relaxation.

Agree w' Dr Fowler: Also remember that your mother will need to make the changes, you cannot do it for her, just encourage and support her. If her stress is very severe you could suggest that she speak to a therapist as well .
