Could a 2 week ultrasound detect a heart defect?

Sometimes: Pediatric echocardiography can be helpful in evaluating the heart musculature and contribute to making a diagnosis (along with other studies the doctor will order). It is not invasive, not uncomfortable for the patient. Usually requires a specialist to perform the ultrasonography.
