A member asked:

I need your expertise, is adhd a mental disability?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

ADHD: Adhd is a mental diagnosis but doesn't have to be a disability if properly treated. The goal is to use medication to enable the person to function normally at school or whatever situation they need help in. It becomes a disability if untreated or the medications don't allow the person to function in a constructive way.
