You are past the age: Generally schizophrenia is recognized in young adulthood or late teens. It is possible to have psychotic symptoms arise in older people, but they'd probably not be schizophrenia related. See a psychiatrist to describe the symptoms that concern you. Try to relax - fear will make everything much worse. You'll be doing the right thing to see an expert.
