Im a 16 year old male will my learning and social disorder affect my life when i move out of my home?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: on what you have in place to help with the transition. Do you have friends who will be making life changes at the same time? Are you going to attend college? Will you be willing to discuss your learning style with the college counselor so you have an advocate there? Do you have a social safety net? Are you experiencing anxiety about your future and if so have you talked about that with anyone? Are you comfortable advocating for yourself in the school and workplace? Your chances are excellent for a full and happy independent future if you are willing, now, to prepare for it and are aware that at 16 you are still a wonderful work in progress with great potential.
