Insure that you are: Receiving good pyschiatric care ; psychotherapy. Avoid alcohol, drugs, tobacco and caffeine. Take medications as prescribed. Keep sleep schedule steady and aim for 7.5 to 8 hours per night. Work toward balance in your life. Notify your provider if you see yourself headed toward either depression or mania/hypomania.
