Add-yes: Patients with a proper diagnosis of attention deficit disorder may benefit with better focus in school settings. Patients without add have little if any benefit.

If you have ADHD: Medications like Ritalin (methylphenidate) and Adderall will improve the ability to focus in school if you have ADHD. If you do not, It may not have any beneficial effect.
