Ritalin (methylphenidate) use: Ritalin (methylphenidate) is a stimulant and is used in treatment of adhd. It acts to increase Dopamine levels in the brain. It cannot cause depression. It actually may help relieve anxiety or depression often associated with adhd. If you experience worsening symptoms, seek immediate consultation with a mental health professional.
