Concerta then ritalin (methylphenidate) for my adhd make me less anxious and more calm but do not help me focus. they also make me even more sluggish. how come ?

Stimulants: Not unusual effect, could be dose related or effect of washout, or from other meds. Discuss with your doctor these possibilities since s/he knows your meds. Best.

Comorbidities: You may have comorbidities with the adhd. These could include dyssomnia, insomnia, workplace dyssomnia, anxiety disorder, depression, learning disability, among others. Methylphenidate may not be the medication that works best for you. Amphetamines may work better. Check with your doctor for adjustments to your treatment regimen.
