Depends . . .: Variables include type of surgery as well as your overall health, lifestyle, eg tobacco & alcohol habits, and other medical conditions. Best to discuss your proposed procedure with your surgeon as well as your family doc (who will probably be the one to sign off stating that you're healthy enough for surgery).
