Yes: Yes. Sperm can live in the female reproductive tract (in vivo) for up to 6 days. By increasing the frequency of intercourse in the days leading up to and including the day of ovulation you can increase the chances of conceiving in a given cycle. However, it is still possible to concieve if a couple has relations sporadically in the week leading to ovulation.
