Atypical : Probably costochondritis or chest wall pain -- but get a good exam to rule out other causes.

Fever?: If you've been ill, i i would think about pleurisy. If your pain is worse lying down and relieved sitting up, i would consider pericarditis. If you have fever, you should be evaluated promptly.
