Hypersomnia: Hypersomnia or hypersomnolence can be a symptom of many conditions and medications. Lexapro and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) are both sedating and often sleepiness inducing. Depression can cause hypersomnolence. Hypothyroidism and other medical conditions can cause hypersomnia. It would be worthwhile for you to have a consultation with a sleep disorders specialist to go over all potential causes and come up with a diagnosis and treatment plan.
