Natural history.: Sounds like natural progression of the disease. Geodon (ziprasidone) is an atypical antipsychotic fda approved for schizophrenia / bipolar d/o. You may not have had a clear diagnosis prior to the medication, but the diagnosis has become apparent with time. Geodon (ziprasidone) does not cause scizophrenia.

Schizophrenia: Geodon (ziprasidone) does not cause schizophrenia, but your symptoms may have evolved further after you stopped the medication. Psychiatrists are not prophetic -- they are extensively trained humans who do the best they can to diminish suffering. It's possible to be sick for quite awhile before diagnosis of schizophrenia -- often because the illness makes the person not disclose his/her symptoms.
