Hard to advise you..: I would like to hear the experience of the other psychiatrists on this --viibryd has great potential to help with anxiety, ocd, as well as depression, but it can be tough-going at first because of GI side effects. I've had patients feel that the drug was helping significantly, but they could not get through the nausea, but i know that there are people who can get past it. It can't hurt to try it!

Need personal eval: I'm sorry, but these medicines can't be rated separately from the person receiving them. Both have potent anti-anxiety features. Viibryd (vilazodone hydrochloride) may possibly have less sexual side effects, which could be important to you. At the same time, i've had patients with significant nausea, vomiting, and insomnia with both of them. Please work with your own psychiatrist on this, as recovery is a process.

Low-dose Abilify (aripiprazole): In my experience, a low dose of Abilify (aripiprazole) (2mg each morning, not to exceed 5 mg) is frequently the most effective and rapidly acting treatment for ocd with anxiety; but, of course, it might not be best for you. Recommend discussing with your provider.
