A member asked:

Does sleeping late and waking up late everyday -although still sleeping 8-9 hours everyday- stunt a kid's growth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Confusing question: Actively growing kids often need 9+ hours of sleep to support growth.Less than that may impair the process or lead to other symptoms of sleep deficiency. This includes poor performance, day dozing, sleep talking or sleep walking. The timing of the sleep period is less important than the duration and quality of recuperative sleep.
