All around are sick (flu) my body is fighting it. have a moderate persistent sore throat. should i take medicine as if having a full blown flu?

Influenza: Unless you have been definitively diagnosed with influenza by a swab demonstrating its presence, your symptoms may be due to a dozen or more different viruses (adeno, parainfluenza, and so on). Antiviral therapy with tamiflu (oseltamivir) will be ineffective against these, and you should see a doctor and be evaluated before doing this. Good luck.
