Pelvic ct for micro hematuria revealed mild prominence of renal collecting system in the calyces bilaterally. no obstruction. meaning?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Renal anatomy: The solid tissue of the kidney is comprised of an outer cortex and inner medulla. The blood is filtered and urine and is produced here. Urine is emptied into the collecting system, which begins at the calyces. Ultimately, the ureters transport urine to the bladder. Prominence or enlargement of the collecting system can sometimes indication obstruction to this outflow, which was not found.
