i workout pretty hard and recently my knee has been clicking when i walk down stairs or try to do any leg exercises. no pain. what could this be?

Chondromalacia: If it is the knee cap that is clicking it is probably chondromalacia, the is a condition where there is irregularity on the back of the kneecap that tends to catch when you squat or use stairs. There are exercises and knee braces that may help. First go to you doctor or a sports medicine doctor to be checked.
