Bursitis/Tendinitis?: If you are very active you could be having an overuse injury. Typically, in the area you mention, a bursitis just above your kneecap or an inflammation of the tendons of your quads could be the issue. A thorough review of your complaints, timing, onset, and duration plus a good physical exam will give you the answer.

Thigh pain: You have thigh pain in both legs. This appears to be significant if it impairs your ability to walk. There is no simple answer to that without taking more history and doing physical exam. Therefore, i recommend you see a doc who will, hopefully, get to the root of the problem.
