I had a toe stress fracture, was diagnosed with bursitis. not improved so doctor is sending me to get an mri. what would the worst case scenario be?

How are you being: Treated? Are you wearing a surgical shoe? If you had a stress fracture of a toe a surgical shoe should help your issue. For bursitits make the sure the shoes are not tight. Either way - these are not hard things to take care of so don't worry. You should be okay.

Stress fracture: As dr kass stated , these are not difficult to treat . Your podiatrist may step up to a cam walker for better immobilization or use injection therapy for the bursitis. Either way you should be fine.
