Get checked: Lupus is diagnosed based on a list of symptoms and lab tests. You are obviously concerned and anxious. I would recommend you see a rheumatologist so that you can be sure if you do or don't have lupus. It is common for relatives of someone with lupus to have positive lab tests and never have the disease. Lupus is not a directly iinherited disease.
