Blood sugar: If you have a fasting blood sugar of 576 mg/dl you are probably diabetic. You need full evaluation and repeat of these values. A two hour postprandial (following a meal) might give better results.

LAB ERROR?: Hi: i ned more information. That level of a fasting blood sugar at 576 can be life threatening and with a normal hemoglobin a1c I am very curious if it is a lab error. You should be very sick if that is your true blood sugar. Are you newly diabetic? Are you obese? Are you on more than Combivir (lamivudine and zidovudine) (not usual to only be on this medication to treat an HIV infection)? It would seem that there is more.
