Sominex: I think you may mean "sominex" rather than "somenx." it is an antihistamine which can make you sleepy, which is why they use that name. Antihistamines can also bring other side effects including confusion, dry mouth, and dizziness, etc. You are apparently quite sensitive to these effects. If you've had several years of insomnia, it's time to consult with a sleep medicine physician.
