Concussion is: A clinical diagnosis (no lab, w-ray, etc) and insomnia is one symptom. Irritability, difficulty focusing, personality changes, dizziness, ringing in ears, nausea, mild anorexia are others which in combination signify a potential concussion. If you have had for a while see your doctor for advice.

Possibly: See your doctor to have the head pain evaluated. If it in the area you struck, try ibuprofen or Tylenol (acetaminophen) for the pain. Problem getting to sleep from tenderness of struck area? If it is try a different sleep position. If not, concussion can interfere with sleep transient lay. If lying down increases your headach, consult your doctor.
