Gallbladder: Your gallbladder is not an essential organ. You and your baby will be fine without it. The gallbladder is a secondary back up and storage reservoir for bile. Bile and your liver are essential for life. Getting a bad gallbladder removed, is a smart health maintenance move. Your pregnancy will have less risk from biliary disease, as bad gallbladder develops commonly during pregnancy. Be well.
