Bump=abscess: You likely have a gum abscess ("boil") from an impacted wisdom tooth or gum disease--possibly related to the previous removal of a wisdom tooth. See your dentist asap for diagnosis--because there are numerous less common causes. The upper tooth will " chew" into the swollen tissue and make infection worse--it must be addressed. Until then: floss, brush , listerine, warm salt water rinses ; nsaids.
