Probable acne cyst: It sounds like you might have a type of acne pimple which is called an acne cyst. This is best treated with an injection of cortisone into the pimple which will cause it to get better over night. The injection does not go into your bloodstream. See a dermatologist asap.

Infection: It sounds like some degree of infection but it can be the skin like an infected comedone or acne or the parotid gland with stone. It is best to be seen by your doctor to make a decision and be treated appropriately.
