Likely a boil...: I suspect you have a boil under your arm (it is like a giant zit). Under the hair (hair follicle) an abscess/infection can form and as it enlarges, it causes that sore lump. It can be quite painful. I would recommend talking to your parents (as you are only 16?) about it so that they can call your doctor to have it checked out and treated. Good luck.
