Therapy: The best treatments are aimed at reducing increased pressure on the brain. When that is achieved (with a shunt generally), your son will need therapy to help him with his motor skills, and other functions. Many children do improve in this way. For all parents with special needs, pay attention to what your son does accomplish rather than focusing on what he isn't able to do.
