My grandmother had a plastic bile duct stent put in. it worked fine. was replaced with metal yesterday and now is jaundice today. is this normal?

Check it out: If your grandmother was not jaundiced before the plastic stent was taken out, and now she is after the metal stent, then either something is wrong with the new stent or something else is causing the jaundice. The biliary blockage may be elsewhere.
