Depends.: Depending on your procedure, you may be able to bear weight after surgery, or you may be non-weight-bearing for several weeks after. Ask your surgeon how severe your bunion is, and how aggressive a procedure you need. More aggressive procedures require non-weight-bearing afterward on crutches.

Depends on surgery: There are 100+ different types of bunion corrections. Some allow you to weight bear immediately after surgery in a post-operative shoe or brace while others may require you to use crutches for a period of time sometimes up to 4-8 weeks.
