Visualizing small: Opaque or translucent objects in your vision can be indicative of vitreous floaters. This is a consolidation of the vitreous gel, composed of water and protein, that has detached itself from the retinal inner lining and now is floating above the retina. One can see the shadow of the floater cast upon the retina, not the floater itself.

Probably "floaters": Although they are a nuisance and bad in that way, floaters are little more than an annoyance for most people. The expression for floaters in spanish is "moscas" which means flies. My guess is that your "bugs" are floaters. Most important is that new floaters, especially with flashes should get a retinal exam promptly to rule out retinal tear. Floaters occur as the vitreous changes with age.
