Mucinex (guaifenesin) D: For pure congestion, Mucinex (guaifenesin) d. Nasal congestion can be helped with afrin nasal spray (no more than 2 days in a row) and/or nasal saline ad lib. Congestion due to allergies can be helped with Claritin d, Allegra d, or other "-d" combinations, provided you don't have high blood pressure. Further treatment is available at your doctor's office if that fails.
