Topical anesthetic: Rinsing your mouth with a topical anesthetic should give you some relief while it is healing. You should see your md or dds to make sure it's not something worse.

Concur: As dr. Cohen recommended, best solution is topical anesthetic. Also consider otc pain killer such as advil/motrin/ibuprofen...Follow package instructions exactly.
