Gum inflammation: In an early stage of gum disease, gingival tissue is swollen and is termed gingivitis. This will occur as plaque accumulated and cause a tissue inflammation and bleeding. Gingivitis can be reverse by good, thorough brushing and flossing in the area. Follow up with a good periodic cleaning every six month preferrably with your dentist. No bone loss or periodontal attachment loss in gingivitis.
