Yes, it can be...: Corsodyl is a brand of clorhexidene gluconate, which is often used by the brand peridex, (chlorhexidine gluconate) or many other equivalents. It is an anti microbial that helps in reducing certain bacteria associated with gingivitis and periodontitis. It should be prescribed and used under the supervision of a dentist to make sure that the etiology of the disease is being addressed... It is not a cure-all on its own...
