YES. : Gingivits: means inflammation of the gums, or gingiva. It commonly occurs because a film of plaque, or bacteria, accumulates on the teeth. You CAN have gingivitis and not have bad breath, bad breath can be cause by many things.

Yes: Gingivitis is caused by bacteria (that have not been removed) that produce digestive enzymes (like in your stomach) that literally digest your gums. Bad breath is caused, for the most part, by sulfa producing b bacteria. Please seek professional care, see your Dentist.
