Thrush: Thrush is caused by yeast infection. It is common in infants up to first 3 months of age due to colonization while birthing. It may also occur if mother has nipple infection from yeast and is breast feeding. Other risk factors include antibiotic use, anti-inflammatory drugs, steroids, other immunosuppressive medications and immunosuppressed conditions.
