A member asked:

I'm worried because my wife test result shows that her serum iron 29.00 ug/dl, tibc is 438.00 ug/dl, serum ferritein is 12.7 ng/ml, what do you suggest?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Iron supplement: Please note that the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to interpret the results as results need to be seen in the clinical context. Having said that, your wife likely has iron deficiency and she could take iron supplements available over the counter.
