A member asked:

I am feeling that there is a thick saliva forming in my throat that causes the wheezing. is there a cure for wheezing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pulmonologist: Wheezing is a lower respiratory disease caused by at least 2 problems. One is increased mucus production of the tracheo-bronchial tree and the other is spasm or increased activity of the bronchial musculature which narrows the airway. When incoming air is inhaled, the sound made traversing this blocked lower airway is wheezing. A pulmonologist or allergist can diagnose and treat this condition.
