Depends: Any surgical procedure involves some level of pain or discomfort. The unknown variable is how each person defines or perceives pain and how they respond to it. Local anesthesia will be administered to numb your mouth during surgery. If you do not want to be aware of the procedure, ask your surgeon what types of sedation can be provided.

Comfortable: Usually comfortable during procedure. Either with local anesthesia (often augmented with oral sedation or nitrous oxide) or local anesthesia and IV sedation. Only doc to offer all options - oral surgeon. Make sure you are evaluated and treated by oral surgeon.
